MUSIHOVEN Indonesian Muslims in Eindhoven

TPA Gembira

TPA Gembira (Generasi Muda bimbingan Surga, “Young Generation Guided by Paradise”) of Musihoven is a place where children and teenagers learn to read the Quran with the iqra method and gain various kinds of Islamic knowledge.

TPA Gembira is part of Stichting Musihoven, a non-profit foundation for Indonesians in Eindhoven and the surrounding area. TPA Musihoven began from the need of Indonesian Muslim families in Eindhoven to help their children learn the Quran and understand the teachings of Islam.

Vision

  1. To give children a solid foundation from an early age, so that a Quranic generation grows up that is proud of Islamic values and can adapt wisely and trustworthily to any environment, in line with the teachings of the Quran and Hadith.
  2. To strengthen the active role of the Muslim community in Eindhoven and surroundings in raising Muslim children as a devout next generation, in particular able to read the Quran and to understand and practise its content and meaning.

Mission

  1. To help children learn the Quran with proper recitation (tartil) using the iqra method, evaluating each child’s tajwid and makhraj.
  2. To help children expand their knowledge of Islam by telling stories from the Quran and about the Prophets and Messengers, and by teaching fiqh and good character (akhlaq).
  3. To celebrate the major Islamic holidays together as a way of learning, so that children grasp the wisdom behind each celebration, and to strengthen the bond between Muslims in Eindhoven and surroundings.

The TPA is open to all children from 5 years old.
